Ferndown Memory Café
This is a support group for people and their carers suffering with dementia/Alzheimers. It is held once a month at the Barrington Centre. It was started with POPP funding.
There are also drop in meetings at Haskins Garden Centre every two weeks

Ferndown 50+ Forum
POPP funded. We are now into the second year of our Forum. It is open to everyone in Ferndown, West Parley, West Moors, St Leonards area. We have open Forum meetings four times a year – the next being June 25th 2010 10 – 12.30. Please come along and hear the speakers, have tea/coffee and raise any local issues. Ferndown Community Choir
POPP funded. The choir meets every two weeks at the British Legion Hall and now have approximately 40 people each time. The age range is from 25-80+ and the new choir master is probably about 30. The age range adds to the choir and has turned it into a very successful means of socialising. Many of the people attending join the quiz run by the British Legion after. If you are in need of transport, are over 50 and have difficulty with public transport this is a voluntary transport scheme where a volunteer will collect you and take you to your destination and bring you home again. The Cameo Club (Come And Meet Each Other)
The Cameo Club is a small but very friendly club, open to anyone. It meets monthly on the third Tuesday of the month from 2 - 2.30pm in the Ferndown United Church Hall. A varied programme has been arranged for the coming year with speakers on all sorts of interesting and helpful topics. Everyone will be made most welcome. The Lighthouse Club
We meet at St Mary's Parish Hall on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 2pm - 4pm. Come along at any time for chat and refreshments, board games and crafts as well as a bring and buy stall. Ferndown Health Walks
Every Tuesday from Ferndown Leisure Centre, these hour long volunteer led walks are and ideal way for people to establish a weekly routine of exercise whilst at the same time socialising in a fun friendly outdoor environment.
